![]() This is the most significant word in the game. There are many words in the game that are not listed here. A single word can be a part of multiple rules at the same time. Rules can be formed by placing the blocks that make them up either left to right or top to bottom. The simplest form of rule is the one using the Is operator, described below. Operators link the nouns and properties to form rules. To distinguish these words visually, they have a colored background, with the letters themselves appearing black. Some of them are verbs, like Move or Stop, while others, like You or Red, aren't. Noun words are colored and have no background. If the word for an object is not present, or if it is not part of any rule, it is visible in the level, but it has no behavior, and other objects can pass through it. An object can exist in a level, but its corresponding word might not, and vice versa. Nouns represent objects in the game, like Baba or Rock. The words in Baba Is You can be roughly split into three categories: nouns, operators and properties.
